Red
Le Rocchette
By Tenuta Olim Bauda, Nizza, Piemonte, Italy
Barbera d'Asti Superiore aged about 18 months in French oak, one of the family's first wines and a favourite of Diana Bertolino.
Tasting notes
Complex, fine, intense and pleasant nose of well-blended ripe fruit, plum, cocoa and spice. Purple red with violet reflections. Soft and graceful on the palate, of good structure and measured alcohol, with fine, sweet tannins giving fullness.
Pairs well with
Fritto misto, rabbit in bagna neira or agnolotti in Jerusalem artichoke cream.
