Gavi del Comune di Gavi
By Tenuta Olim Bauda, Nizza, Piemonte, Italy
A Cortese grown only in the commune of Gavi and aged longer in steel on fine lees; Diana Bertolino rates Cortese among Piedmont's best whites.
Tasting notes
Fine bouquet of good intensity and persistence with lightly floral scents. Straw yellow. Fresh and graceful on the palate, of good structure.
Pairs well with
Risotto with chard, tempura of tufts with crisp potatoes, or chicken escalopes in wine.
