Rivoli
By Paitin, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
Paitin's first Dolcetto dates back to 1893, the year of its first Barbaresco. The Rivoli name was introduced in 2018 after the historic Sorì Paitin vineyard, used for Dolcetto under the Sorì Paitin name since the 1970s, was grafted over to a Nebbiolo massale selection between 2017 and 2018, moving Dolcetto production to the Rivoli site in Alba.
Tasting notes
The Rivoli Dolcetto d'Alba displays a deep ruby color, exuding aromas of dark cherries, plums, and a hint of almond. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with soft tannins, offering a juicy fruit character and a pleasant, dry finish.
