Ca Veja
By Paitin, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
Ca Veja takes its name from a small hamlet in the Rivoli area south of Alba; although Nebbiolo was produced on this hill for centuries, Paitin's first harvest from the vineyard was in 1998 after a major replant in 1995.
Tasting notes
An austere-character Nebbiolo; the vineyard is tied to a 16th-century building, overseen by a small votive pillar dedicated to San Bernard.
