Curra is a 100% Nebbiolo Barbaresco from the historic, 0.69-hectare Curra cru in Neive.

Tasting notes

Redcurrant, criollo chocolate, orange blossom. A wine that represents the perfect meeting point of elegance and power, depth and aromatic clarity, with a marked mineral character.

Guyot training, density 4500 vines/ha. Farmed under SQNPI protocols.
Vinification
Pre-fermentation bleed (salasso) of 5-15% depending on vintage; fermentation in 50 hl French oak tini, 12-15 days skin maceration with daily gentle pump-overs, maximum fermentation temperature 26C; malolactic fermentation also in 50 hl French oak tini. Aged 12 months in 10 hl French oak barrels, then a further 12 months in 400 litre ceramic amphorae, followed by at least 6 months in bottle.
