Rocche di Castiglione

By Giovanni Sordo, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy

Giovanni Sordo Rocche di Castiglione

Castiglione Falletto, one of the estate's own vineyards in the Rocche di Castiglione MGA, planted on roughly 50-year-old vines and aged in Slavonian oak.

Tasting notes

Bright colour with captivating nuances that endure over time. An intense bouquet, rich and lingering, with licorice, mint and ripe fruit; with time, estery notes of resin and sweet spices develop. Full flavour with marked acidity and a tannic weave that balances out with maturation. Good ageing prospects.

Pairs well with

Excellent with roasts and game
