Giovanni Sordo Perno

Barolo from the Perno MGA in Monforte d'Alba, aged 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. Also sold in 1.5 L and 3 L.

Tasting notes

Fairly marked, bright colour, stable over time. A very rich, intense and lingering bouquet; great vinosity with notes of ripe fruit, hardwood, spices and licorice. Great warmth in the mouth; acidity and tannins always stand out but tend to sweetness. A very long aromatic finish and great ageing prospects.

Pairs well with

Excellent with roasts and game
