Gigi Rosso Riserva dell'Ulivo

The estate's most exclusive Barolo, from the Rocche Moriondino cru in Castiglione Falletto, made in around 3,600 bottles a year and built for very long ageing.

Tasting notes

Intense garnet red with subtle orange reflections. Broad, complex nose of camphor, resin, dried rose petals, chinotto and blood orange, cherry preserve, carob, tobacco and sweet spices. Full-bodied and structured, with fresh acidity, firm elegant tannins, rich minerality and a lingering finish of licorice and ripe red fruit.

Pairs well with

Braised meats, game, aged cheeses and truffle dishes; also beef Wellington or porcini risotto.
