A single-vineyard Barolo from the Bricco San Pietro subzone of Monforte d'Alba, aged three years in oak plus 6 months in bottle.

Tasting notes

Clear garnet red with orange hues. Orange blossom, fresh plums, violets, dried sage and spearmint, leather and cinnamon. Full-bodied and well structured, with firm refined tannins, vibrant acidity and a long finish. The wine page also lists spice, chocolate, liquorice, tobacco and mint.

Pairs well with

Braised meats, aged cheeses, truffle risotto and game.

Vinification
Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about 15 days with regular punch-downs, followed by a 15-day submerged cap maceration. Aged 36 months in oak barrels (Slavonian oak casks per the wine page) and 6 months in bottle. 14.5% alcohol.
Serving temperature
18-20 C (64-68 F); decant at least 1 hour before serving
