Gigi Rosso Bricco del Cavallo

A Barbera from a steep vineyard at about 500 m in Roddino, named after the horse Gigi Rosso brought to work it; aged 24 months in French oak.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby red. Ripe cherry, strawberry and plum compote with cacao, leather, licorice and oak spice. Full-bodied and velvety, with vibrant acidity, refined tannins and a long finish.

Pairs well with

Braised meats, stews, roast game, aged cheeses and pasta with rich tomato or meat sauces.

Vinification
Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with regular punch-downs. Aged 24 months in French oak barriques and tonneaux, then 6 months in bottle. About 4,000 bottles made. 15% alcohol.
