A Barbera d'Asti Superiore from a replanted 2.5 ha vineyard in Castelnuovo Calcea, in the Nizza area, aged 18 months in oak.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red with strong violet reflections. Cassis, black cherries and plums with pepper, licorice, clove and star anise. Full-bodied and vibrant, with bright acidity, silky tannins, dark fruit and spice and a long finish.
Pairs well with
Roast meats, hearty pasta, aged cheeses and traditional Piedmontese dishes such as agnolotti del plin.

- Vinification
- Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about 15 days with regular punch-downs. Aged 18 months in oak barrels (Slavonian oak casks per the estate page), then 6 months in vats or bottle depending on the vintage. 14 to 15% alcohol.
