Filippo Gallino Roero Arneis

A single-variety Arneis from sandy clay soils in Canale. Filippo Gallino first bottled it in 1972, among the earliest producers to give the variety its own label.

Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow with greenish highlights. Aromas of citrus, chamomile, acacia and tropical fruit with peach. Balanced, mineral, savoury, fresh and citrusy on the palate, with a persistent finish.

Pairs well with

Aperitif, starters, fish, white meat, light first courses, dry pastries.

Vinification
Vinified as a white wine: the must is separated from the skins before fermentation, the grapes are soft-pressed with a pneumatic press and fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks.
