Red
Barbera d'Alba
By Filippo Gallino, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
The estate's everyday Barbera d'Alba, first bottled in 1961 and repeatedly awarded Slow Wine's "Vino Quotidiano" (everyday wine) recognition.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red with violet highlights. Aromas of liquorice, plum, blackberry and violet. Small red fruit on the palate, savoury, full-bodied, long, warm and harmonious, with a persistent, juicy finish.
Pairs well with
Aperitif, an entire meal, traditional cured meats and cheeses.
