A Barbera d'Alba Superiore aged in large oak casks, first bottled in 2007. It is named for a Gallino relative who emigrated to California before returning to Valle Pozzo to reconnect with the family.
Tasting notes
Deep, intense ruby red with violet highlights. Aromas of small red fruit, plum jam and spice. Wild berries, strawberry jam and ramasin plum on the palate, savoury and persistent, with a spiced finish.
Pairs well with
Pasta dishes, meat mains, aged and fresh cheeses, cured meats.
