Red
Langhe Nebbiolo
By Ettore Germano, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
An easy drinking, fruit forward Nebbiolo from 15-year-old vines on clay and limestone, fermented briefly on the skins and aged about 6 months in steel.
Tasting notes
Bright ruby red of medium intensity, it shows fresh fruit and cherry on the nose, with delicate violet floral notes. On the palate the entry is full and warm, with enveloping, slightly astringent tannins that cleanse the palate; the finish echoes the same aromas, coming across as persistent and harmonious.

- After destemming and crushing, the must ferments for 4 to 5 days on the skins at around 25°C, to extract colour and a light tannin. Fermentation finishes off the skins, still in stainless steel tanks, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. The wine completes its ageing with a few rackings, still in stainless steel, over about 6 months. The short maceration is meant to give the wine freshness and highlight the variety's primary aromas.
