Ettore Germano Chardonnay

A steel fermented, unoaked Chardonnay from 20-year-old vines in Cigliè, aged about 6 months on lees before release in late spring.

Tasting notes

The wine has a bright straw yellow colour. On the nose, ripe fruit notes emerge, accompanied by delicate hints of bread crust. On the palate it is full and harmonious, versatile and enjoyable, supported by an acidity that gives freshness and carries through the finish.

Work in the cellar begins with a soft crushing and pressing. Alcoholic fermentation of the free run must takes place in upright steel tanks at a controlled temperature of about 18°C. Malolactic fermentation also partly takes place in steel. The wine ages for about 6 months in steel. Bottling happens in late spring, and the wine is released some months later.
