Sweet
Ribota
By Boeri Vini, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
A sweet, effervescent Moscato d'Asti named after the Piedmontese 'fare una ribota', to gather with friends and celebrate. About 12,000 bottles a year at 5.5% vol, suggested cellaring of 1 to 2 years.
Tasting notes
Intense hay yellow. Perfume of spring flowers and honeyed melon and apricot; lightly sweet with frothy effervescence and a light body. Aromatic notes: sage, honey, apple, citrus.
Pairs well with
Desserts and increasingly as an aperitif: zabaione, strawberry fruit salad, fruit cake, cornmeal biscuits.
