Boeri Vini
Boeri Vini is a family cellar in Bionzo, a hamlet of Costigliole d'Asti, whose story starts in 1904 with Alfonso planting vines on the Bricco Quaglia hill. His son Giovanni and grandson Alfonso followed, and today brothers Giorgio and Roberto, the fourth generation, run the estate. Their first own-label wine was Barbera d'Asti Superiore Pörlapà, made from a vineyard Giovanni planted in 1936, and the first release was 4,000 bottles. Moscato, Chardonnay and later Nebbiolo joined the vines, and the Barolo comes from Castiglione Falletto. The list covers everyday Barbera, Dolcetto and a white blend, Beviòn Chardonnay, Noto, Bionzo, and two sparklings. Wines are vinified in steel or concrete and aged in French barriques, in a cellar whose oldest part is about 200 years old.
Costigliole sits between Asti and Alba, where the Monferrato hills meet the Langhe, inside the UNESCO-listed wine landscape.
