Tasting notes
Mellow, elegant bouquet of berries and natural balsamic notes, Mediterranean woodland and dried rose reminiscent of goudron with age. Well balanced, with elegant, assertive tannic texture and a long, complex finish.

- Monforte d'Alba, plot 2, sub-plots 178, 407, 406, in the Bussia menzione geografica near the village of Dardi. 380 m asl, southwestern exposure. 1.13 ha, vines 35 years old.

- Miocene-Serravallian soil with yellow, sandy, more or less compact layers and white Diano sandstone. The highest point of the vineyard is white, dusty and poor in nutrients, prone to drought.

- Vinification
- Careful manual grape selection in vineyard and cellar, gentle destemming and pressing, fermentation and maceration for about 30 days at 28-29°C, malolactic fermentation in December. Aged in 30 hl oak barrels for about 36 months, then in bottle; in the best vintages becomes a Riserva, ageing a total of 5 years in the estate's cellar. 3,500 bottles produced.
