Red
Gatto Nero
By Pierfrancesco Gatto, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
Gatto's Piemonte Pinot Nero DOC, aged 24 months in 500-litre tonneaux, with about 3,400 bottles produced.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with good depth and consistency, a broad, intense nose with notes of clove, pepper and blueberry. Broad on the palate too, round, spicy and pleasantly tannic, gaining complexity and elegance with age.
Pairs well with
First courses, red meats, game and semi-aged cheeses.
