Pelissero Rigadin

A late-ripening Riesling from a north-facing, windy 400 m vineyard, first made in 2015.

Tasting notes

Green-yellow with bright reflections. Honey, butter, flint, tobacco and tea, with apricot, pear, lemon, grapefruit, thyme, sage, nettle and hawthorn. Structured and savoury, with good acidity alongside minerality.

Vinification
Good leaf cover kept until harvest to avoid sunburn. Light skin contact at low temperature, low-temperature fermentation with indigenous yeasts, then rest on the lees over winter with repeated stirring, and straight to bottle.
