Barolo DOCG from a single vineyard in the Le Coste di Monforte menzione, first produced in 2004.

Tasting notes

Garnet red. Rich and deep on the nose, with notes of hay, violet, tobacco, white pepper, wild mint and licorice. Robust on the palate, with a taut, mineral finish. The tannin is dense but silky, with great balance.

Pairs well with

Fresh Piedmontese pasta with truffle or meat ragù, roasted or braised red meats, game, long-aged cheeses.

Vinification
Fermented in steel tanks where the skins stay in contact with the wine in post-fermentation maceration, using the traditional submerged-cap (cappello sommerso) method. After drawing off, the wine stays in steel for malolactic fermentation and is then moved to wood.
Storage
Aged in oak and cement tanks.
