La Val dei Preti
By Matteo Correggia, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
Roero Riserva from the historic La Val dei Preti vineyard, aged at least 9 months in 30hl casks and small used oak, then 10 months in bottle; awarded Vino Slow 2018 for the 2014 vintage, and scored up to 94 points by Vinous and 93 by Wine Advocate.
Tasting notes
With a classic Nebbiolo garnet, this wine offers an inviting nose of red fruit, licorice, and subtle spice. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh acidity, approachable tannins, and a clean, lingering finish.
Pairs well with
Finanziera, recommended by Ristorante Davide Palluda in Canale
