L'Armangia Macchiaferro

A varietal Albarossa (a 1938 Chatus by Barbera crossing), able to age 5-6 up to 10-12 years.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby red with purple tones changing to garnet red after long ageing. Bouquet of stone fruit, strawberries, plum and almonds, with bloody and spicy notes. Tasty and full bodied, occasionally crisp, tannic when young.

Pairs well with

Red and grilled meat when young; later, game, roast and cheeses.
