L'Armangia Enneenne

A single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from the Castellero hillside in Canelli, planted in 1992-1998, known for great longevity despite low sulphite additions.

Tasting notes

Pale straw colour with greenish hues that fade over time. Bouquet of gooseberry, bell pepper, citrus fruit, tropical fruit, hay and herbs. Soft and full palate with long persistence of aromas.

Pairs well with

Tasty and even rich dishes, as an alternative to medium bodied red wines.

Harvest
August 17th to September 10th, ending within two to three days
Vinification
Soft pressing after a 2 hour skin maceration, followed by flotation. Vinification takes place 20% in 300 litre oak barrels and 80% in stainless steel. The wine sits on the lees for 2 to 3 months at 5-6C, with malolactic fermentation completed depending on the vintage; sulphur dioxide is kept to a minimum.
