Dolcetto d'Alba
By Dogliotti 1870, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
A Dolcetto d'Alba DOC made from 100% Dolcetto, kept briefly in steel and best drunk young.
Tasting notes
Vivid ruby red with violet reflections. Vinous, youthful, intense and pleasant on the nose, recalling cherry and plum. Dry, round, low in acidity on the palate, with a marked almond note and a delicate, lingering finish. Recommended in a balloon glass.
Pairs well with
Goes with every course, from starters to mains, especially cured meats, hearty structured first and second courses, roasts, boiled meats, mixed grills, and hard or semi-hard aged cheeses.
