Dogliotti 1870
Dogliotti 1870 is a family cellar in Castagnole delle Lanze, the small village where the Langhe hills meet the Monferrato. Five generations have worked here since 1870, today with Giorgio and Bruno alongside Erik, Ivan and Matteo. The range is wide for one estate: Barbera d'Asti and Nizza, Nebbiolo in its Nebbiolo d'Alba, Barolo and Barbaresco forms, Dolcetto, Grignolino, Roero Arneis and Chardonnay. Moscato is the local pride, from a classic Moscato d'Asti to Berlet, made from the family's oldest vineyard, and a longer-ageing selection by Erik. There is also Asti Spumante, a lively Barbis Barbera, and a run of Alta Langa metodo classico, with Riserva and Rosé versions. The cellar welcomes visitors most days for a tour and tasting.
