Sparkling
Le Cave Blanc de Blancs
By Castello di Uviglie, Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy
A pure Chardonnay Metodo Classico made in small quantities, only in the best vintages, and aged a minimum of five years in the thousand-year-old Cave di Pietra da Cantoni.
Tasting notes
Appearance: inviting, intense straw yellow with golden hues. Nose: tropical, exotic fruit from banana to guava, candied citron to starfruit, combined with the fragrance of yeast from extended ageing. Palate: fresh entry, a perlage that releases on the palate and embraces exotic fruit, chalky notes and hints of yeasted dough for a prolonged, exciting experience.
Pairs well with
From aperitifs to shellfish in bearnaise sauce, vegetable pasta dishes, roast fish, white meats and flavourful cheeses.
