Red
Cannubi
By Tenuta Carretta, Roero, Piemonte, Italy
A Barolo from the Cannubi hill, the estate's vineyards there being planted on Tortonian sand and marl soils, aged at least 36 months.
Tasting notes
Deep garnet red. Decisive aromas of rose and ripe fruit, then liquorice, cocoa and spices with notes of citrus. Structured, with acidic-tannic balance and elegance.
Pairs well with
Excellent with rich first courses and hearty main courses such as red and braised meats, game and ripe cheeses.
