Ressia Gepù

A Langhe Nebbiolo DOC from a barrel selection on the Cru Canova, aged 26 months in oak, with an annual production of about 4000 bottles.

Tasting notes

Bright, lively garnet. Great personality of aromas, fruit in alcohol and spice with classic mineral nuances, great freshness. Rich, full and round palate with elegant, fine tannins and a slight acidic note.

Vinification
Soft pressing, classic alcoholic fermentation in steel at 30-32 degrees; maceration 10-12 days with daily pumping over; three months with lees kept in motion for mannoprotein extraction and malolactic fermentation; racked into 10 hl French Allier oak casks with Slavonian oak heads and 1500 liter Slavonian oak barrels and 500 liter French oak tonneaux for 26 months; barrel selection made before a pre-bottling steel phase and further bottle refinement.
