Fontanazza
By Poderi Marcarini, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Fontanazza is Marcarini's everyday Dolcetto d'Alba, made from grapes grown on the hills of La Morra in the centuries-old traditional way, without new technology, and long considered the daily drinking wine of the Langhe.
Tasting notes
Magnificent ruby-red colour with violet reflections; an intense, persistent nose of flowers and fruit with sweet spice notes, and a palate with pleasant acidity and a delicate, slightly bitter aftertaste.
Pairs well with
A wide range of Italian and international dishes.
