Barolo Chinato
By Poderi Marcarini, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Barolo Chinato is Marcarini's aromatised dessert and digestive wine, tracing its origins to the Barolo area toward the end of the 1800s and made to an old family recipe.
Tasting notes
Amber-coloured with ruby-red reflections; a spicy, intense and persistent nose; a bittersweet palate of China bark.
Pairs well with
Served as an aperitif with mineral water and ice, neat as an after-dinner liqueur, or warmed and served with orange peel; a fantastic companion to dark chocolate desserts.
