Red
Monpiano
By Pietro Rinaldi, Alba, Piemonte, Italy
Monpiano is Pietro Rinaldi's Barbera d'Alba DOC from vineyards in Madonna di Como, aged 12 months in stainless steel.
Tasting notes
Ruby red with purple reflections. Complex and intense nose with notes of fresh fruit, spices and balsamic notes. Silky, balanced, pleasant and fresh in the mouth with the right acidity and a long, persistent finish.
Pairs well with
Roasted red and white meat, and medium-ripe cheeses; a fresh, young Barbera suitable throughout the meal.
