Massirano
By Pietro Rinaldi, Alba, Piemonte, Italy
Massirano is Pietro Rinaldi's Barbaresco DOCG from a 45-year-old vineyard in Neive, aged 16-18 months in used Austrian oak casks.
Tasting notes
Intense ruby red with an orange hue. Complex nose with hints of dry flowers, red berries, pipe tobacco and balsamic notes. Full bodied on the palate with dry yet soft tannins, harmonic, fresh and very persistent aftertaste.
Pairs well with
Dishes of the Piedmontese cooking tradition, braised veal, handmade stuffed pasta dishes with game ragu sauce, local aged soft cheese, and dishes with Alba white truffle.
