Vigna Rionda Riserva Etichetta Nera
By Massolino - Vigna Rionda, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
Barolo Vigna Rionda Riserva Etichetta Nera, the Massolino family's Black Label, is released only in vintages the family considers exceptional, such as 2016 and 2020.
Tasting notes
The estate's top selection from Vigna Rionda, bottled under a black label only in vintages it judges exceptional. Both the 2016 and 2020 releases were described with a dense, finely sculpted tannic structure and a bouquet built on violet, dried rose, black fruit and spice, with 2016 noted as especially austere and built for decades of ageing, and 2020 as unusually silky and precise for the wine.
