Red
Albesani
By Massolino - Vigna Rionda, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy
A single-vineyard Barbaresco from a south-west-facing hill in Neive with vines around 50 years old, made in small numbers since 2019.
Tasting notes
Deep garnet red. Complex, open aromas of flowers, red fruit, hay, spices and tobacco. Rich, elegant, sometimes austere on the palate, made in small numbers.
Pairs well with
Best with red meat, particularly game, and truffles; also good with fresh-egg pasta in meat sauce, risotto, and medium-mature cow's and goat's milk cheeses.
