Diego Pressenda - La Torricella Barbadelchi

The estate's flagship Barolo, named for great-uncle Adelchi, aged 30 months in French oak plus time in bottle.

Tasting notes

Garnet red with orange reflections. Aromas of violets, tobacco and red cherries, with hints of porcini mushroom and leather. Soft, rounded tannins balanced by fresh, mouthwatering acidity. Complex and ever-changing in the glass, with a long, elegant finish. Approachable young, with high ageing potential.

Pairs well with

Aged blue and seasoned cheeses, truffle, rich risottos, red meats, stews, game and rabbit.
