Red
La Monella
By Braida, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
The wine that launched Braida's story: the first grapes came from grandma Caterina's vineyard, and granddad chalked "La Monella" onto the liveliest barrel of Barbera. Unchanged since 1961.
Tasting notes
A gaudy purplish ruby red with a lively, slightly sparkling froth. Fragrant, unbridled and vinous, with numerous scents of red fruit. Extraordinarily lively and fresh on the palate, cheerful and unrestrained, with good body and a smooth texture.
