Broccardo

Broccardo

Broccardo is a family winery in Monforte d'Alba, run since 2009 by the siblings Filippo, Laura and Federica Broccardo. Their parents sold grapes from the 1970s; full production and bottling began only when the three siblings joined the business, and much of it now goes to export. The estate farms 13 hectares, 5.5 of them Nebbiolo for Barolo, across Monforte d'Alba (San Giovanni and Bricco San Pietro), Barolo (Paiagallo) and Novello (Ravera). The range centres on those single-vineyard Barolos and Riservas, with Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, Langhe Arneis and Rosato, a Nebbiolo Metodo Classico and a Barolo Chinato. Oak, Slavonian and French, is used for the Nebbiolo and Barbera wines, steel for the fresher ones. Low-impact viticulture and winemaking have been followed since the 2016 vintage. Monforte d'Alba lies in the southern Barolo zone, part of the Langhe UNESCO World Heritage landscape.
