Monte Aribaldo
By Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Grésy, Barbaresco, Piemonte, Italy
A classic Dolcetto for the whole meal, from the Monte Aribaldo hill in Treiso, with the variety's typical slightly bitter finish.
Tasting notes
Colour: brilliant, intense ruby red with violet reflections. Bouquet: intense and persistent, with notes of cherry, redcurrant, blueberry jam and a light grassy note. Taste: velvety and harmonious, good structure, with a pleasant, slightly bitter almond aftertaste and well judged tannins. Elegant.
Pairs well with
Ideal with local antipasti such as battuta di fassona and vitello tonnato, as well as homemade pasta, medium structured main courses, bread and salami, and pizza.
