A single varietal Merlot from vineyards in Cassine, showing its character from the very first vintage.
Tasting notes
Colour: intense ruby red with violet reflections. Bouquet: generous, with red fruit, cherry and plum notes combined with sweet spice notes of black pepper and leather. Taste: elegant, soft and full in the mouth, with good structure, fine tannins and great drinkability.
Pairs well with
Excellent with rich pasta dishes and many kinds of meat, particularly rabbit and lamb.

- Monte Colombo estate, commune of Cassine, Alessandria province. South facing at an average altitude of about 250m a.s.l.

- Vinification
- Red vinification with floating cap fermentation at controlled temperature, followed by ten to twenty days of submerged cap post-maceration. Regular daily pump-overs and periodic delestage. Full malolactic fermentation follows the alcoholic fermentation. Aged in French oak barriques for thirty months, followed by a further twenty-four months in bottle before release.
