A Barbera d'Alba Superiore from Monforte d'Alba, first made in 1988 and aged about two years in barriques.

Tasting notes

Lively ruby turning carmine, fairly transparent. Ripe cherry and full red fruit, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove and a touch of pepper, light wood and dried thyme and marjoram. Rhubarb, gentian and liquorice on the palate with silky tannins.

Vinification
