Roncaglie Riserva Beppe Colla
By Poderi Colla, Langhe, Piemonte, Italy
A limited-production riserva dedicated to Beppe Colla, made only in great vintages from grapes harvested in 7-8 successive passes through the Roncaglie vineyard and selected from the best cask. Rather than extending oak ageing, the estate keeps the wine longer in bottle until it is ready and balanced.
Tasting notes
Intense garnet red, rich and complex aromas of blackberry, caramel, cinnamon, lavender, dried dog rose and violet. Rich, mouth filling and intense, with a long finish of velvety tannins and great ageing potential.
