By Poderi Colla, Langhe, Piemonte, Italy

Poderi Colla Costa Bruna

Costa Bruna comes from a roughly 2-hectare plot of Barbera at least 90 years old, discovered inside the Roncaglie cru when the Colla family purchased it in Barbaresco. It expresses the fresh, drinkable character of Barbera with the elegance of the marly soils of the Langhe.

Tasting notes

Purplish red, vinous and complex bouquet of strawberries and cherries, floral and spicy. Full-bodied in the mouth, fresh acidity, pleasant both young and mature.

Pairs well with

Pasta, soups and pies; used in the kitchen for sauces and meat stews
