Pian Balbo
By Poderi Colla, Langhe, Piemonte, Italy
Pian Balbo has been the estate's single-plot Dolcetto vineyard since 1969, on a hilltop site (the name Dolcetto is said to derive from 'dosso', hilltop). It is an instant, friendly wine with great vinosity, fruity flavours and fine tannins.
Tasting notes
Purple red with violet edges. Fine nose with aromas of cherry, plum, almond notes and spices. In the mouth, ripe fruit flavours, fine tannins and great vinosity.
Pairs well with
