Red
Nebbiolo d'Alba
By Poderi Colla, Langhe, Piemonte, Italy
Produced at Cascine Drago in the Nebbiolo d'Alba production area, at the border of Barbaresco, and aged one year in large casks. It shows the delicacy, elegance, structure and drinkability of a great Nebbiolo, smoother in its early years than its Barolo and Barbaresco siblings.
Tasting notes
Garnet red. Complex nose with aromas of plum, spices, red berries, dried rose and violet. On the palate it is straightforward, tasty, with prominent tannins well integrated into the structure of the wine. Good length and persistence with a fruit and spice aftertaste.
Pairs well with
Pasta dishes with meat sauce, meat main courses
