Barbera d'Alba

By Mauro Veglio, Barolo, Piemonte, Italy

Mauro Veglio Barbera d'Alba

Made from Barbera grown on the cooler, younger vines of the Cascina Nuova hill, for an exuberant, velvety wine meant to be enjoyed young and fresh.

Tasting notes

Intense ruby red with violet reflections. Fruity, fresh aromas with young, captivating notes of red fruits, particularly amarena cherry and plum. Balanced on the palate with the slightly acidic notes typical of Barbera and a well-expressed minerality with a delicate savoriness on the finish. Best in its first years, though it can surprise with some age.
