Starderi
By La Spinetta, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
Barbaresco DOCG from the Starderi cru in Neive (CN), 100% Nebbiolo, first produced in 1996 with about 7,000 bottles a year. A Riserva version aged at least 10 years is also made, about 400 magnums a year.
Tasting notes
A Barbaresco with an exceptional balance between mature tannin and acidity, holding a strong character and solid structure. Delicate aromas of plum and ripe fruit make Starderi extremely enjoyable in youth, whilst expressing its maximum potential after a few years of bottle ageing.
