La Spinetta Gallina

Barbaresco DOCG from the Gallina cru in Neive (CN), 100% Nebbiolo, first produced in 1995 with about 6,500 bottles a year. A Riserva version aged at least 10 years is also made, about 500 magnums a year.

Tasting notes

A soft and persuasive Barbaresco. Velvety tannins and great body define this wine, that ends with a fruity finish and floral note.

Vinification
Maceration and alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled vats for an average period of 14-15 days. Malolactic fermentation done in French oak barrels, 20% new and the rest second passage, followed by ageing of minimum 9 months. Then refined in the bottle.
