Bionzo
By La Spinetta, Asti, Piemonte, Italy
Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG from the Bionzo vineyard in Costigliole d'Asti (AT), where Giorgio Rivetti sees strong potential for both the Asti area and Barbera as a grape, 100% Barbera, first produced in 1998 with about 10,000 bottles a year.
Tasting notes
This Barbera exhibits natural complexity and concentration coming from almost century-old vines. Mineral notes, together with hints of chamomile and blackberry, all resonate in unique harmony.
